Ty Schwab, CEO and Director of Business Development
Ty Schwab is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Director of Business Development here at Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC. Mr. Schwab also holds the chairman’s seat on the board of directors. Mr. Schwab started as a Senior Consultant at Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, working with clients to assess, design, plan and implement emerging technologies including; server virtualization, storage virtualization, application streaming/virtualization, I/O virtualization, desktop virtualization, VDI, disaster recovery and business continuity and data center migrations to green IT. Mr. Schwab specializes in virtualization technologies, computer and network security, computer user training and policy and procedure development. Mr. Schwab’s combination of technical skills, customer service and support expertise and technical writing abilities, offer relief to clients facing today’s IT challenges. Prior to Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, Mr. Schwab founded Fire Dragon Air Defense, a computer and network security consulting business which supported dozens of clients in the government, education and business market sectors.
Mr. Schwab graduated from Garland Community College in Hot Springs, Arkansas with a degree in programming and also graduated from Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon with degrees in network operations, programming and user support. Mr. Schwab also holds industry certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, CISSP and Red Hat Linux.
Alison Russom is responsible for Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC’s day-to-day operations, including consulting strategy, partner management, strategic, tactical, and short-term operations management. Ms. Russom is also responsible for the performance of Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC’s businesses, as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by the executive management team of Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC and for maintaining an ongoing dialog with the executive management team. Ms. Russom also has the added responsibility of representing Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC to its partners, city, government, regulatory authorities, the media, customers and the general public.
In addition to Ms. Russom’s duties as the Chief Operating Officer, she serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC. Her responsibilities as the CFO are to oversee all company accounting practices, preparing budgets, financial reports, and tax and audit functions. Ms. Russom is also responsible for directing the companies financial strategy, planning and forecasts, supervises investment and the raising of funds for the company.
Kelli Gillette, Chief Compliance Officer
Kelli Gillette is the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC and also has a dual role as the Chief Ethics Officer. Mrs. Gillette’s responsibilities at Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC include overseeing the corporate compliance program and she is also the head of the corporate compliance office of the company. Mrs. Gillette functions as an independent and objective body which reviews and evaluates compliance issues within the company to the CEO. Mrs. Gillette is also responsible for establishing procedures and monitoring compliance with the rules of government. Prior to joining Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, Mrs. Gillette ran a successful law practice, Gillette and Associates in Portland Oregon, specializing in business law and corporate law. Mrs. Gillette holds a Bachelors degree from the University of California at Davis and a law degree from the University of Oregon.
Lisa Copass brings 20 years experience to SteppingOut Communications and Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC and offers clients fresh perspectives, common-sense approaches to PR and roadmaps to success. She has spent her PR career helping businesses take leadership positions in their respective markets. Lisa has counseled large businesses, like Hewlett-Packard, on how to keep ahead of the curve and has led numerous start-ups, like Ariba, AppStream and Xsigo Systems, in creating new market categories. Throughout her career, she has launched nearly three dozen new companies and products and has paved the way for many clients to dominate media coverage.
Before founding Stepping Out, Lisa served in numerous executive communications positions, including vice president at MS&L (a global communications firm), senior director at Blanc & Otus (a Hill & Knowlton Company), senior account executive at Copithorne & Bellows (a Porter Novelli Company) and senior director of communications and marketing at Intira (a start-up focused on enterprise data centers). Lisa is an honors graduate from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and holds two Bachelor of Science degrees: one in anthropology, the other in communications.
